coup(e) de lapin, 2006

I graduated in Fashion Design at the Academy of Fine Arts (SASK) in Sint-Niklaas in 2006. For my graduation collection ‘Coup(e) the lapin’, I was inspired by the book covers that Dick Bruna designed for the paperback series ‘Zwarte Beertjes’, issued by A.W. Bruna Uitgevers. While developing these pieces, I found my interest in graphic design, patterns, and prints.

This collection was presented during the end-of-year fashion show and received a standing ovation from the jury. Afterward, the collection was also shown during an exhibition and fashion show in Lovendegem (Ghent) that was set up to support people with disabilities.
